We had an other marvelous weekend.
This time with outsite conditions inviting to a day at the beach or remind you of the climate in a veld.
The best thing is: you can have it both in Southern California...
Saturday after a night in "Pacific Beach" district we went to the beach it got the name from. After an exciting beach-soccer-game Japan/Germany vs. USA/Italy we swam in the approx. 60°F warm Pacific Ocean.
Our weekends highlight followed on Sunday. Past a breakfast in the sun we went together with Claudi (a fellow worker from Böblingen) to the Wild Animal Park in Escondido. It is located breathtakingly beautiful in a valley reminding you of the Winnetou-movies.
There is so much to see from exotic and native birds to african wild animals (lions, elephants, etc.).
On a safari trip one can discover a vast african veld landscape including its residents and when the "Frequent Flyer Show" is on, the exotic birds surround your head :)
A really nice weekend, characterized by almost anything Southern California has to offer: dream beaches, an impressive flora and fauna, Hollywood-movie sceneries and the lovely weather - but find out by yourself and see our latest pictures.
take care...
